When you arrive at
our office, you will be greeted by our friendly staff that will
help you get started on some paperwork. This paperwork includes
a financial agreement, information about yourself and a health
history. This is important to ensure safe and effective care for
your situation.
When new patients schedule
an appointment at our office, we do our best to schedule you as
soon as possible. To help do this, we have early and late hours
throughout the week. The first appointment is the longest and
usually takes about an hour, maybe less. During this visit we
gather your history, perform an orthopedic and functional exam,
and if possible, we treat you on the first visit. In some cases
an x-ray or other testing is ordered at this point. During the
second visit we will review the case and discuss goals and possible
care options. Follow up visits usually last 15 minutes or less.
How many follow up visits depends on the case. Some cases are
very short, while others require more care. In any event, we will
reach maximal improvement as quickly as possible.
After the consultation
and examination the doctor will then give the patient a report
of findings, which thoroughly explains the patients condition,
prognosis, what you can expect from treatment and recommendations
for care. After any questions, care will begin with the patients'
consent. |
